The Who - Join Together (Track 2094-102 - 1972)

There's a lot of talk in Who-land about the ill-fated Lifehouse project, an ambitious sci-fi rock opera created by Pete Townshend in 1970 as an unrelated follow up to the hugely successful Tommy, its most notable legacy being the Who's Next album of 1971, yet there were one or two other items left over from the project, including three non-album singles, Let's See Action, Relay and this. Originally called Join Together with the Band, the single features a wonderfully memorable harmonica and jew's harp intro and includes the use of an ARP synthesizer and was allegedly written only the night before it was recorded.
