Recorded and released in 1969, Comin' Home was a fine collaboration between the husband and wife duo of Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett, together with an assortment of friends including the British guitarist Eric Clapton. Clapton invited Delaney and Bonnie and Friends to join his then band Blind Faith on tour during 1969 and allegedly found their band much more interesting band than his own, prompting him to quit the band in the same year. A live album from this period was released later in the year, featuring a live version of this song. Comin' Home features a memorable guitar riff courtesy of Clapton and some soaring and soulful vocals from both Delaney and Bonnie. The single was featured as the opening track on the Age of Atlantic sampler LP released in 1970, D and B and Clapton sculpted in plasticine on the front cover.
