By the time Jeff Beck came to release his first solo album in 1975, the young London guitarist was already a household name, having enjoyed success with The Yardbirds, The Jeff Beck Group and Beck, Bogert and Appice. A busy career it has to be said and with one smash hit under his belt, the infectious Hi Ho Silver Lining. Jeff Beck soon settled into the role of master guitarist, releasing a string of instrumental albums each of which showcased his command over the electric guitar, drawing respect from both peers and fans alike. With George Martin at the helm, Wired was Beck's second LP and was released in 1976 and remains one of Beck's landmark albums.
